Have questions about being on summer staff?
FAQs

-
How long is the summer? - Being on staff is a 9-week commitment (May 26 - July 24). Training begins on May 26th and lasts until June 6th. Campers will arrive on June 7th.
-
Are Summer Staff paid? - Yes! We pay our staff. Pay is determined by a number of different factors, including age, experience, and area of leadership.
-
Do Summer Staff live at camp during the summer? - Yes. Summer Staff will receive room and board during the week and weekends. Staff will be required to stay at camp during the week, but are free to go home during the weekends if they'd like.
-
Do you offer internships? - Yes! We offer many different internships, which serve as the highest level of leadership in our program. We also are willing to work with you to try and meet whatever internship requirements you need to fulfill for school.
-
What are your four core staff objectives? - We have four objectives for our Summer Staff that reflect our mission, vision, and values. They are so crucial to our ministry that we call them our "Four Pillars". We build relationships (Connect), lead by example (Guide), keep camp safe (Protect), and proclaim the gospel (Teach). If any of these are missing, we're not doing our job.
-
How do you make hiring decisions? - All staff must complete an application, obtain 4 references, pass a background check, and complete an interview. We will choose our staff from those who meet those four requirements.
-
Should I apply? - Yes! Here is a great article on why you should work at camp. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and we only have a limited number of positions open for our Summer Staff. So, apply as soon as possible!
