Basketball Camp is led by Bob Berggren, an experienced basketball coach. Bob has a great desire to teach and encourage young students to do their best in the sport and have fun doing it.
Campers will spend at least half the day in practice. They will learn and practice the fundamentals of the sport, do drills, scrimmage, and practice shooting in order to improve their abilities. It doesn’t matter if your child is a basketball star or new to the sport. They will have a great time and learn a lot from Bob, including spiritual lessons as he brings God onto the court during practice times. We do want campers to understand that there is more to life than sports, so campers will still have time to attend chapel sessions to worship God and listen to our great speakers and have counselor-led cabin devotions. God has given these campers a skill… how can they use it for His glory?
Even though campers will spend most of their morning in practice, much of the afternoon is still set aside for good ol' camp fun. They will still have the option of going to the climbing tower, swimming in the pool and lake, doing a craft, and riding a horse (6th grade & up), among many other things.
Please bring gym shoes. Balls are provided. Spandex shorts are not allowed.
